Each stuffy t-shirt is handmade by HP and made to look just like a miniature version of our original designs.
We started we with the idea of accessories for stuffed animals with Ministry Days 2025. After working with the UUMA to create their Swag Store, I wanted to create something for the children of my colleagues who were being dedicated at Ministry Days. However, I found it difficult to find a sustainable option for children’s clothing.
I was also in the midst of packing my house to relocate for a new position and marveling at the sheer number of stuffed animals my son has, all of whom are very important and who definitely don’t need another playmate. I started looking into it and found that I could make stuffed animal shirts for significantly less than I could make kids shirts, and as an added bonus stuffed animals don’t outgrow their clothing every 3-6 months.
So I made a test batch for UUMA ministry days as a dedication gift and then got to work exploring how it could expand this to a larger line of products. I quickly found that sourcing new doll clothes was easy if I was willing to use supercorporate retailers, but if I wanted to create sustainably I would have to try something different. I started scouring secondhand stores and websites for a lots of gently-used or never-used doll and bear clothes and found that I can get a whole bunch of those secondhand and save them from a landfill fairly easily, so that’s what we’re doing
Each batch of tees is slightly different due to using different secondhand sources. I do thoroughly sanitize and inspect everything that comes through. There are no there’s no beads or decorative attachments that could pose is choking hazards, and I will never send out something I wouldn’t be excited to give to my own kid or nibling.
